Who Am I?
My name is David. In my free time I like to play board games, participate in improvisation theater, and run for fun. I am originally from the United States.
While attending university I interviewed for and received a remote internship with the company I work for now. After graduating they offered me a full-time position in Hamburg, Germany. It was a difficult choice: stay somewhere familiar or embrace a new challenge?
I chose to explore. And I’m happy I did because it has allowed me to meet a bunch of lovely and diverse people. When I talk with different people I am able to see deeper into myself. Talking with the right person can be like glimpsing into a mirror.
Here are some examples:
- Listening to someone talk about how the city she grew up in now feels unfamiliar makes me treasure my family much more.
- Discussing our “dream jobs” encourages me to think about the aspects of work that are enjoyable; things like solving mysteries, managing tasks, and writing.
- Laughing with friends. I discover more about my own sense of humor. I like comedy stories that a reoccurring theme.
